B’nai Mitzvah- Andrew Dunn 3/31/26
I had the absolute pleasure of having “Don’t Call Me Francis “. perform at my children’s B’nai Mitzvah on March 21st 2026 at the Fuge —and “amazing” honestly doesn’t even begin to cover it.
This wasn’t just a band. This was a 10-person, full-throttle, party-launching machine disguised as a band. From the first note to the final song, they didn’t just play music—they took over the entire room in the best possible way.
Their energy? Off the charts.
Their talent? Ridiculous.
Their ability to get everyone—kids, adults, relatives who “don’t dance,” and even the people who claim they “just came to watch”—onto the dance floor? Borderline sorcery.
At one point I’m pretty sure people forgot they were at a B’nai Mitzvah and thought they had somehow wandered into one of the best concerts of their lives…with better food.
One of the most unforgettable moments of the night was when they invited my older son Noah—who’s a pro drummer—to sit in and play a song with them. It meant the world to him, and they treated him like he was part of the band. That kind of generosity and inclusiveness says everything about who they are, not just as performers, but as people.
They struck the perfect balance between honoring the meaning of the day and throwing a party that people will probably be talking about for years. The dance floor was packed all night, shoes may or may not have been sacrificed, and I’m fairly certain a few guests are still recovering.
Beyond the performance, they were total pros—organized, seamless, and clearly experts at what they do. They made everything feel effortless (even though what they were doing was anything but).
If you’re considering “Don’t Call Me Francis “for your event, stop considering and just book them. Immediately. Before someone else does. I’m not telling you anything new here ,many people already know about them and how great they are.
Fair warning: they will raise your standards so high that every other party band you ever see again will feel…a little disappointing.
