Paul Arbogast

Paul’s chameleonic performance career has covered a broad spectrum of experiences in symphony orchestras, jazz, rock, latin, and funk bands, and even Baroque period ensembles, to audiences in 49 states and 7 countries, and locally at the Spectrum, the Wells Fargo Center, the Academy of Music, the Mann Music Center, Walnut St and Prince Theaters, and the various venues of Atlantic City.

He’s shared the stage with The Royal Ballet of London, Aretha Franklin, Johnny Mathis, Diana Ross, Placido Domingo, Frankie Valli, the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, and Count Basie – just a sample of an ever-growing list of uncounted artists and groups.

Paul has recorded for CeCe Winans, Anthony Brown and Group Therapy, Norwegian pop star Elvira Nikolaisen, Jennifer Hudson, The Intruders, K’Naan, R. Kelly, LL Cool J, Jennifer Lopez, Maysa, The Midtown Men, mewithoutyou, NFL Films, Billy Paul, and Natalie Cole.

Paul has toured extensively with The Midtown Men, four founding NYC cast members of the Broadway sensation, “Jersey Boys”. That has included live performances before millions on the national broadcasts of ABC’s “Good Morning America”, NBC’s “Today”, and a full-length concert regularly aired on PBS. He has also worked with 2014 Grammy nominated jazz artist, Maysa, with whom he recorded the album “Motions of Love.”

In January 2012, Paul was invited to play principal trombone in an All-Star Orchestra for the closing month of the Mary Poppins 1st National Tour at the 10,000 seat arena, Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City. After an East Coast tour, in July of 2012, he traveled to Norway with singer-songwriter Joshua Stamper to perform at the Egersund Visefestival and also to record a new album in Olso. He has also performed extensively throughout Canada, Mexico, England, Scotland, and Spain.

While in Mexico City, Paul met the love of his life, Monserrat, and together they now call Philadelphia home. When not immersed in the music world, Paul and Monse help others reach their fitness and nutrition goals as accountability coaches, and otherwise spend their time experiencing anything and everything they can together as a new family with their infant daughter, Kin Avery.
